Cut (or tear) the five pieces from the dotted strip at the bottom of the page.
Glue the two candles, the cup, and the challah onto the big table. Decorate the challah cover, then glue only its top edge over the challah, so it lifts up like a little door.
Draw a plate for each person. Then color the whole picture: the people, the table, and the pieces you glued on.
The little caps are called kippot (kee-POTE). One is a kippah (kee-PAH).
What is Shabbat? Shabbat is the Jewish day of rest, and it comes every week. It starts on Friday evening when the sun goes down and ends Saturday night. It is a time to stop, rest, and be together with the people you love.
